Your newborn baby requires immunisation from various diseases in order to help protect him or her from contracting these diseases. It is essential that you bring your baby to the immunisation clinic at the ages as stipulated by the South African Health Department's EPI (Extended Programme for Immunisation).

Your baby will require the following immunisation:

  • At Birth
    • BCG (TB immunisation)
    • Polio Drops
  • 8 Weeks
    • 6 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Hep B, Polio)
    • Prevenar (Pneumococcal Disease)
    • Rotarix (Rotavirus)
  • 12 Weeks Booster
    • 6 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Hep B, Polio)
    • Prevenar (Pneumococcal Disease)
    • Rotarix (Rotavirus)
  • 16 Weeks Booster
    • 6 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Hep B, Polio)
    • Prevenar (Pneumococcal Disease)
    • Rotarix (Rotavirus)
  • 9 Months
    • Measles
  • 12 Months
    • Chickenpox
    • Hepatitis A
  • 15 Months
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    • Prevenar Booster
  • 18 Months
    • 6 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Hep B, Polio)
    • Hepatitis A (Booster)
  • 6 years
    • 5 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Polio)
    • MMR (Booster)
  • 12 years
    • 5 in One (Tetanus, Diptheria, Whooping Cough, Hib, Polio)
